Serving 39 children from ages 18 months to 5 years, Good Shepherd Lutheran Christian Day Care is housed within its own wing of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in the quiet community of Amherstburg, Ontario. The setting offers an abundance of nearby parks and peaceful surroundings. Nutritious snacks and a wholesome lunch are prepared daily by our own cook. The centre has regular access to the church’s gymnasium for gross motor activities for the children.
Our play spaces are designed to encourage all aspects of your child’s development. In each program room at Good Shepherd, children can safely explore a learning environment that is designed to encourage their optimal physical and cognitive growth, appropriate to their age and level of development.
We offer a balance of structured and unstructured, stimulating and quiet-time activities and an abundance of opportunities for children’s creativity. Our expert staff design and implement age-appropriate programming that promotes self-esteem, self confidence, self-help skills and independence. We provide opportunities to strengthen social skills, for children to make choices and gentle encouragement to children to resolve their own conflicts. |

Our hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
We are open year round, excluding Statutory Holidays and a few religious holidays. |
